- The fonds Ligue européenne de coopération économique (LECE) covers the activities of the organization mainly from the mid 1980s. Some series, such as those relating to the national committees, may go further back in time. Most of the older records, however, are preserved at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. The structure of the inventory reflects the order of files originally arranged by the International Secretariat of LECE which duplicates the structure of the organization itself with international governing bodies and working groups and a series of national commissions. Included are publications and documentation issued by the Ligue

- Biographical or historical data
- The European League for Economic Cooperation is a non-governmental and apolitical organisation. Founded in 1946 as the Independent League for European Cooperation, it changed its name in 1947. The League's main objective has been to promote economic integration in Europe. For instance, the European monetary union has been its topmost priority. In 1949, the League published a booklet on a convertibility system and in the late sixties, it supported the work of the vice-presidency of the European Community Commission. Another area of interest has been the opening of Europe. In the sixties and seventies, the League proposed an association of the African and Malagasy States, later African, Caribbean and Pacific States, with the European Community. It also advocated for the accession of Great Britain and organized roundtables on East-West trade relations. In the mid-1990's, it adopted the " Vienna Recommendations" (1994) in support of applicants from Eastern and Central Europe and worked in favor of Euro-Mediterranean partnerships. Over the years, the League has also engaged in issues such as the Common Agricultural Policy, environmental protection, research and technology, and globalization.
