Summary
The documentation reflects the functions assigned to the institution by the Treaty establishing the European Community (Articles 246 to 248) and its related activities. The European Court of Auditors is the external auditor of the finances of the European Union and in this capacity produces material of a financial and economic nature. The fonds comprises the Court's main annual reports with its observations on the implementation of the budget of the European Union and observations on specific issues as well as formal opinions on proposed legislation of a financial nature. Audit reports and opinions are published both on the website of the Court and in the Official Journal of the European Union in all official EU languages
