- Biographical or historical data
- Roberto Ducci received his degree in law at the University of Rome. He began his diplomatic career in 1937 where he held various prestigious posts; as counsellor of the Italian delegation at NATO and the OEEC, head of the editorial board of the Treaties of Rome in 1957, head of the Italian delegation in the negotiations (1961-1963) for the first application of United Kingdom's accession to the European Economic Community, as well as ambassador to Finland, Yugoslavia, Austria and the United Kingdom.
